In a press conference held yesterday in New York City when Selena was asked about how she felt holding a gun:
“I was scared at first, definitely!” “It was the wildest thing but I felt like a badass.”
Selena also spoke about transitioning from music to movies.
“I’ve been wanting to do different things since starring in Springbreakers and other fun roles and I wanted to do an action film.”
“The opportunity to be able to be a tomboy that knows all this stuff [CarTech] that I don’t know about and I got to dye my hair black–just gave me the opportunity to be someone else.”
Hawke who did the driving in the film talked about what it was like practicing for the film. And Selena shared what it was like being in the car with him.
“They took us to an airport and let us drive as fast as we wanted,” said Hawke.
“I didn’t think he’d actually do it but I am in the car and he’s driving and doing freakin donuts and I am like ‘Oh my goodness we haven’t even started filming and I am going to die,’” joked Selena.
“But he knew how to drive, he told me, he goes ‘I’ve never done this before’ but he DID! So, he was just trying to make me even more scared.”
Is Selena done with Music?
“I am actually on tour so I’m in the middle of music at the moment, I constantly find myself, [Interrupts herself] I’m a woman so change my mind all the time, so one day I just want to do acting and just that and then one day I just want to do music and just that, so it kinda changes but this is my last record for awhile, I am gonna tour then just kinda get into acting for a really long period of time, hopefully.”
