The 2014 World Cup ended in disappointment for Brazil. But in place of the malaise, the music continues to pump through the veins and is represented in the form of Thiago, Rio born, Argentinian raised, and in command of three languages. He is bringing an explosive fusion effort to our shores via his first single, “Rio.” Its a song that says it all about the man and artist. “Indeed it is a celebration of my roots, my very essence.” Thiago confides.
“Its an important theme song that represents me well.
It has that energy that blends well with the culture I have embraced here within the U.S., the Latin and American alike.”
Born in Rio de Janiero, Thiago is well aware of the passion of the music that defines his country. Its simple in the desire to find happiness in a nation that is financially depressed. ”
Its Brazilian culture, anything that will bring you joy, that shares that energy, passion, we embrace it.”
Thiago is in demand in his native country as well as Argentina. He was raised in Buenos Aires and has already provided a platform for his music in their film world.
“I’m a World Citizen.
In Argentina, “Rio” is a national jingo for the Hoyts Cinema, the equivalent of AMC here.” Thiago explained.
But Thiago is far from a sudden success. While in Argentina he worked up the ladder of entertainment fields, using each one as a stepping stone to the next. “I started at an early age. I was on TV when I was nine. I drew cartoons, caricatures live on TV.” Thiago said. “From acting to films that got me into theatre and musicals.” His desire to bring something new motivated him throughout. “Thats how I ultimately fell in love with music. Its a large part of me. I wake up and go to sleep to it.
I like things that involves creating stuff.”
Thiago recognized when he met the moment that the decision for his single here was all too important, a crucial first impression. “You never have the final answer. Its hard to say that this one is the best option, but I felt it represents me.” Thiago explained. “I’m giving this song to the World, for them to know me.
I express myself with that pop soul, rapping in three languages, Spanish, English, and Portuguese. Thats what I do.”
To realize the goals in the young life of an artist, its essential to have great management. In Frontline Agency he feels he has just that. His talent and Focus will be a perfect balance. And he is quite busy thank you, as he prepares to film his second video, “Beleza” in the Dominican Republic.
“Its a duet that will mix Brazilian Sambo with Dominican Dembo.”
Thiago adds. He is taking life as it comes and is willing to put in the work, which is extensive. “A well established and hard working team is the key.
I’m a dreamer. I’m an active person, positive, in love with life. A person who enjoys what he’s doing.”
