What exactly is a Hall Pass? Some of us might think of it as some sort of object that would allow some student to wander down the hallway without getting pulled over, and it shows some faculty member or school narc that you have permission to wander the hallway during a class period. Although the premise of having permission is the same, the concept is changing thanks to a movie being released today.
In Hall Pass starring Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis, Wilson and Sudeikis play married men who are given a hall pass to their marriage and allowed to have a week of fun outside of their marriage. And now the pretty strange yet modernly comical concept has taken on a live of its own on Twitter. The number trend for today, tweeters are twittering their own thoughts about the subject of giving a husband or wife, boyfriend or girlfriend a Hall Pass to their committed relationship. According to one NoTiaraItsKiara who says it all when a questioned posed by another tweeter asking everyone would they give a hall pass to their significant other, she amply replies, “HallPass from me means You’reCutOff,” nice. The movie is in theatres today, and if you would like to tweet something about the flick join in with other tweeters who have no problem doing so.
