Quarantine News Series, is a commitment of LatinTRENDS to bring our audience empowering, uplifting content to keep you moving forward and in good spirits, by providing solutions and inspirational content instead of fear based news, during these challenging times of coronavirus pandemic.
Today, many of us are home more then what we are used to being, because the coronavirus quarantine. Reports indicate that stress levels are higher than normal, alcohol sales have increased over 50%, and domestic violence cases are up.
During these challenging times, many people don’t have peace or happiness as most are in a state of fear. Now more than ever, people need inspiration.
An inspired person will have more energy, become less bored, be a more productive and happier person. Inspiration is what fuels the motivation we need to get shit done, it’s a one two combination that will knock out fear.
When we get things done, we feel good about ourselves, and when we feel good about ourselves, we feel good about others. Unfortunately, the opposite is also true.
If you want to work out, clean your room or garage, go for that three mile jog, eat healthier, pray more, be a better son, dad, sister, husband, wife, make more money, begin that course, begin that idea, start that business, call and say i’m sorry to someone that you know you offended, whatever!
We need to be motivated to do things and if we’re not, we won’t do much except come up with excuses on why we did not or could not do them. This is when we are vulnerable to suffer from depression and anxiety, we have let our guard down and let the funk rush in, because when we were more in tune with our fears than our faith, ( and it happens too often), fear wins. However fear can be good, when we learn to channel it, so that we can use it as a tool that warns us to be aware and proactive on making adjustments that empower us and not let it interfere with living our best life because of it.
The good news is, we can control this, because its an emotion and we get to choose which emotions we give strength too.
So, its really up to you. You choose; fear or faith?
“Do you want to beat fear and kick it’s ass”?
-Or-
“Do you want to let fear beat you”?
News is a money making industry. One that doesn’t always make the goal to report the facts accurately. Gone are the days of tuning in to be informed straightforwardly about local and national issues. The reality is watching the news can be a psychologically risky thing to do, which could cause harm your mental and physical health.
Fear based news and other forms of media prey on the anxieties we all have and then hold us hostage. Being glued to the television, reading the paper, or surfing the Internet increases ratings and market shares — but it also raises the probability of depression
I’m not saying to go in the dark from our world and what’s happening in it, absolutely not, what I want to emphasis is for you to be informed, but be smart about it. I get my news from research I do, to identify unbiased intelligent information, and even then, I question it.
Seek empowering, educational and inspirational content, as opposed to being a news junkie. As they say; “seek and ye shall find”, what you seek, is on you.
Now more than ever, people need inspiration because inspired men and woman are able to be optimistic even in challenging times, they stand up for something and do not fall for anything. Don’t fall for so much fear based media, be an intelligent consumer of it.
Be safe, be smart, be inspired!
Note: inspiration and motivation is not something you work on a few times and you’re done. It’s something you have to work on every day of your life, It’s a lifestyle, it’s a mindset and it takes an awareness of this but it’s worth it. Inspiration and the motivation it leads to is omnipotent.
