On December 27, 2012 Continental Food and Beverage Inc. (CF&B) acquired the exclusive bottling rights to the Malta El Sol brand. Prior to the sale Malta El Sol was marketed by El Sol International LLC out of Hammonton, NJ.
As exclusive licensed bottlers for the brand, CF&B plans to expand the distribution footprint of the Malta El Sol trademark into the mid-Atlantic and South East regions. “This is a great addition to our portfolio of brands” stated Randall Berman Chief Operating Officer of CF&B. “This deal adds not only a profitable brand to our portfolio but a brand with a tremendous amount of history and Equity in the Hispanic beverage arena.” The Malta El Sol brand will fit very nicely into the existing CF&B distribution system that covers 28 states and has exports to six countries. Malta El Sol has been in the local market since the early 70’s and has a loyal following.
