The 35-year-old Mexican beauty rumored to have led the assassin unit of El Chapo’s Sinaloa Cartel was found dead in her presumed lover’s bed last week, according to various media outlets
Claudia Ochoa Felix — nicknamed the “Kim Kardashian of organized crime”, was found lifeless in a home in Isla Musala in the city of Culiacan.
Ochoa Felix became social media-famous in 2014 for posting photos of herself wielding pink and gold AK-47s and toting designer handbags, The Telegraph reported.
Mexican newspapers claim that Los Ántrax, an armed enforcement wing of the Sinaloa drug cartel — for which she’s been given a second nickname, the “Empress of Antrax,”
At the time, Claudia denied any allegations of organized crime involvement, tweeting that the reports were “cowardly lies and slander.”
No official cause of death has been released, but La Prensa reported that a drug overdose could have been the cause.
Alcohol and other substances were found in Ochoa Felix’s body and she died of suffocation, according to prosecutor Juan Jose Rios Estavillo — but her official cause of death has not been released pending autopsy results.
The night before Ochoa Felix was found dead, she had gone to a nightclub with a man, according to La Prensa. The pair apparently slept late, and when the man tried to talk to her in the morning, she did not respond — so he called the police.
The curvy brunette worked as a model, and was romantically connected to Jose Rodrigo Arechiga, better known as “El Chino Ántrax,” who headed the gang before he was arrested, reports local media.
Felix took on the role of the Ántrax leader after Arechiga’s arrest, according to the report.
She was also married to a Sinaloa Cartel drug trafficker nicknamed “El Chavo Felix,” with whom she had three children, according to the local news reported.
