The Travel app HotelTonight, has a lot to say about the leading demographic concerning online travel purchases. They conducted a survey aimed at Hispanic Heritage Month and learned some interesting things. It seems that just over half of all Latinos are more apt to order travel packages at the last minute on a more sizable level than others. Lets explore five reasons this is so.
1-WE ARE SPONTANEOUS
Many Hispanics (68%) consider themselves near or very Spontaneous. In fact those that order trips at the last minute do it for this very reason. They feel that they get more out of it if they plan very little in advance.
2- WE LIKE HAND-HELD TECHNOLOGY
One out of every two Hispanics will use their smartphones instead of their laptops. Sam Shank, CEO and Co-founder of Hotel Tonight admits as much.
“The Data supports what we already knew: the mobile revolution is changing the way we travel, with Hispanics leading this trend.”
3- YOU GOT TO WAIT FOR GOOD DEALS
It is well established that prices for trips varies from day to day, sometimes hour to hour. The ability to refer quickly from a device that you hold at your fingertips fits well for impulse buyers. Hispanics resemble that when it comes to traveling.
4- TRAVEL IS BETTER THAN SHOPPING
The survey also shows that nearly 60% prefer spending hard earned money traveling than just purchasing items. So, we won’t be seen in the trinket store as often as we will be on the beach sipping something cool.
5-WE DONT NEED TO GO FAR, SO LONG AS ITS NOT IN OUR TOWN
Hispanics believe in booking one night deals in cities nearby once a week. This surpasses others 14 to 8 percent.
Hotel Tonight began in 2010 and books Hotels at exclusively low prices in 1900 destinations worldwide including Europe and South America. The mobile app is very popular among Hispanics.
