Ford Motor Company and the Federation of Hispanic Chambers of Commerce of the State of New York (NYSFHCC) presents the 1st Annual Green Expo America on Sunday, October 2 from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm. The expo is a fun family event, featuring activities related to ecology, and is the second stage of the initiative for Ecology Latinos in New York, recently launched by Ford and NYSFHCC to celebrate and promote practices designed to nurture and improve the environment in the New York’s Latino community.
“Ford is committed to the environment and the community,” said Alvaro Cabal, Multicultural Communications Manager for Ford. “Through community initiatives such as this unique collaboration with the NYSFHCC, we practice our beliefs. We are proud to be involved in helping Latino families from New York to adopt a green lifestyle. ”
The Green Expo America a bilingual community event for the whole family, will showcase the latest model of Ford hybrid car, will present an exhibition of artwork made from recycled materials, offer art workshops for children and gardening, distribute informational material energy conservation and recycling, and will present live music, free drinks and more.
“The NYSFHCC is involved in helping Latinos to continue to develop green initiatives and contribute to business growth in New York State,” said Alfred Placeres, President of the NYSFHCC. “We are delighted to work with Ford to bring this initiative to the Hispanic community through the Green Expo America.”
