Jennifer Lopez to star in the upcoming action movie on Netflix “The Mother”. The drop date is drum roll… on Mother’s Day weekend, of course!
JLO the global icon stars as a former killer who left her old life and family behind to protect her now 12-year-old daughter.
In the movie trailer, we see the FBI cutting a deal with Lopez after several agents were killed and there are dangerous men still on the loose. Lopez ‘daughter is kidnapped years later, this forces Lopez to come out of hiding to save her daughter.
Lopez is heavily armed and dangerous and shows off impressive physic in her heroic return ready to defend her daughter at any cost. “I’m a killer,” she says. “But I’m also a mother.” This quote perfectly encapsulates the film in one line. Along the way, she’s just a badass, shooting, stabbing and torturing the kidnappers. Lopez does all this, while teaching her daughter how to survive in the face of danger.
The film’s official tagline is: “A deadly female assassin comes out of hiding to protect the daughter that she gave up years before, while on the run from dangerous men.” Jennifer Lopez is also a producer in the film.
“The Mother” releases on Netflix on Friday, May 12.
