It was only four years ago when Doug Grieff and Beatriz Acevedo co-founded the MiTu Network. The target audience is displayed through their founding phrase located on their website. “We are the Voice of Young Latinos” has been the mission of the largest community of Latino content creators and social media influencers.
It has paid off to the tune of two billion monthly views on You Tube among others which has the furthest reach to the young latino viewer.
“Latinos represent 24% of millenials in the U.S.,
” explained company CEO Roy Burstin,
“We think of this demo not as a niche but as a part of the mainstream.
The Los Angeles based company understands that to bring programming to Latinos that you need Latinos to produce the programming. As 95% of the company is Latino, its easy to see why they hit the pulse of the Hispanic community.

Apparently money investors recognize the potential market. The network recently raised $27 million dollars to make it $43 million as they have added Verizon, ad agency WPP, and AwesomenessTV which also aims at digital audience via YouTube as investors who believe. As a unit of DreamWorks Animation, AwesomenessTV is an example of where one can see Mitu heading to in the near future. Where money and tech saavy meet, creativity thrives.
