
The annual match, McDonald’s All American High School Basketball game, an event that gathers the top high school basketball players in the country, will be held on April 2nd in Chicago.
Five young outstanding players from the New York tri-state have been chosen among more than 1,000 participants from all over the country to be part of this game, they are: Karl Towns, Jr., (Picataway, NJ), Isaiah Whitehead (Brooklyn, NY), Sierra Calhoun (Brooklyn,NY), Bianca Cuevas (Harlem, NY) and Myisha Hines Allen (Montclair, NJ).
This past Friday, this group was recognized during the Brooklyn Nets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The players were introduced along with McDonald’s Owner/Operators Josh Kaufman and Bryan Spillane.
Since 1978, more than 1,150 players have competed in the McDonald’s All American Games, forming an elite list of some of the top names in basketball history, including Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, among others.
