Isiah Pacheco, once a standout at Rutgers University, is carving his name into NFL history books with a blazing trail of success. In a stunning turn of events at the super bowl LVIII, the Kansas City Chiefs clinched their second consecutive Super Bowl victory, and Pacheco, a former seventh-round draft pick, now boasts two rings in just as many years.

Breaking barriers, Pacheco has become the inaugural starting running back to achieve back-to-back Super Bowl wins in his rookie and sophomore seasons—a feat that’s turning heads across the league.
According to sources, Pacheco comes from a diverse background. His dad, Julio, has roots in Puerto Rico, while his mom, Felicia, is of African-American heritage.
Pacheco holds the title of being the youngest among his parents’ five children. Sadly, his brother Travoise met a tragic end when he was fatally stabbed in Bridgeton in January 2016. The family faced another devastating loss in September 2017 when Pacheco’s beloved sister, Cecile, fell victim to gun violence.
These unfortunate events, forced Pacheco to play harder and leave it all on the field, because as he said in an interview, “ in life, you never know if you will get another chance, my sibling’s passing has served as a motivation to give it my all every time, I do it with them in mind.

Upon joining the Chiefs post-draft, Pacheco’s prowess caught the attention of none other than coach Andy Reid, who swiftly promoted him to the coveted role of the team’s premier running back.

In his debut season, Pacheco showcased his talent with 830 rushing yards and five touchdowns, averaging an impressive 4.9 yards per carry and securing 13 receptions. His stellar performance set the stage for an even grander sophomore year.
As anticipated, Pacheco’s sophomore season saw him shouldering a greater workload, tallying 205 carries for 935 yards and seven touchdowns in the regular season. Additionally, he proved his versatility with 49 receptions for 244 yards and two scores.
His impact only intensified in the playoffs, where he averaged nearly 80 rushing yards per game and added three touchdowns to his postseason resume.
Before his NFL stardom, Pacheco dominated the college gridiron, spending three formidable years as Rutgers’ starting running back. Despite being overlooked by many teams in the draft, the Chiefs are reaping the rewards of snagging one of the biggest steals of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Isiah Pacheco’s journey from collegiate sensation to NFL phenomenon continues to captivate fans and pundits alike, solidifying his status as an unstoppable force in the football world.
