Like many of our readers; I grew up on grandma’s good ol’ fashion cooking. Can you guess what my favorite dish is? In true Puerto Rican fashion; it’s no surprise my favorite dish is arroz con gandules y pollo with a side of sliced avocado! My family would tell you; I was always super picky when it came to food from other cultures. As I pursued my degree in Hospitality it opened my mind to different styles of cooking and exotic foods I never knew existed. I got over my picky ways and developed a love for trying new dishes! Call me a foodie if you’d like but I know there are a lot more of you out there!
