
NYC’s own Prince Royce, from the boogie-down Bronx, took home eight awards last night at the 2012 Billboard Latin Music Awards. He, and Don Omar, were the only two artists to take home the most and are part of a growing group of Latin artists fusing English and Spanish into their lyrics.
Pitbull, another bilingual artist, performed at the ceremony, along with Juanes, Marc Anthony, and others. Anthony received a Billboard Hall of Fame award for his global, artistic influence.
