The 2012 Kia Sorento ranks 13 out of 19 Affordable Midsize Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 18 published reviews and test drives of the Kia Sorrento, whose bold styling, numerous standard features and good fuel economy make it a great value among affordable midsize cars.
The automotive press says the car is attractive and spacious. They also like that it comes with plenty of standard tech features, like Bluetooth and a USB iPod jack. However, it receives a few negative comments for its unsupportive seats and small trunk opening.

That’s what the other guys have to say, here is my experience when I drove the 2012 Kia Sorento for a full week recently. I must say, I disagree with them on the negative comments of unsupportive seats. I drove the vehicle for one full week and found the seats to not only feel comfortable, it supported my back very well. The handling was a little on the stiff side, however, I liked it because it made me feel safer driving it. I was also impressed by its good fuel economy. On a scale of one to five, I give the total driving experience a four and a half.
