Today, at 7pm, the phone lines for the 10th Annual CUNY/Daily News Citizenship NOW! call-in will be closing. Callers wishing to gain US residency, either full naturalize citizenship or permanent resident, can use this FREE service to clear up any concerns they may have about applying. This service is offered in dozens of languages by calling (212) 857-6221, including Spanish, (212) 857-6225. In its 10th year, this call-in has been a great success.
One can call and ask some simple questions like āwhen is the best time to fileā and āwhere can I get the forms to file for citizenshipā, to some a little more complex having oneās employer file for them and that case is still pending for years, or what to do for further permanent residency when an immigrant has married a US citizen. Those on the receiving end will answer any question to the best of their ability, and will also refer you to free and low-cost services that can help you start the process, continue it if already started, and/or fight any disputes. And if you came to this country illegally, you can be honest. That will stay confidential.
These questions and more are just waiting to be answered, so call or pass this one to someone you know wanting to apply for citizenship!
