What can I do to prevent the flu?
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home when you are sick
- Clean your hands
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces at home, work or school
- Get plenty of sleep
- Eat nutritious food
- Get a flu shot
What are symptoms of the flu?
- Fever
- Aches and pains in the joints, muscles and around the eyes
- Weakness
- Flushed skin and red, watery eyes
- Headache
- Dry cough
- Sore throat
- Runny nose
