Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, the three women former bus driver Ariel Castro has been accused of holding captive in his Cleveland home for a decade, recently took to the video medium to express their gratitude for the public’s support.
The video, titled “Thank You from Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus & Michelle Knight,” surfaced on Monday. Neither woman had issued a statement prior since being rescued, along with Berry’s 6-year-old daughter by Castro, on May 6.
Castro, 52, has been indicted on 329 charges, including 139 counts of rape and 177 counts of kidnapping. Knight, 32, Berry, 27, and DeJesus, 23, disappeared in 2002, ’03 and ’04, respectively.
