In a recent visit to Kinko’s to pick up some prints, I was engaged in a conversation and asked “Where will the jobs be?”
Interesting, since evolving past the Industrial Age, into the Information Age, to now the Attention Age; in a world of obsolete machinery, free information, and rampant social media, where do the opportunities lurk?
According to The Occupational Handbook, http://www.bls.gov/oco/, half of the projected employment growth over 2008-2018 will be seen in positions for registered nurses, home health aides, and customer service representatives. While the decline will be largely seen in production occupations and administrative or office support; significant growth will be seen in positions requiring an Associates Degrees.
The Hispanic presence in the workforce, 2008-2018, is expected to increase by 33.1%.
One thing is certain about business, the numbers do not lie and opportunities await us!
