Adrienne Bailon, the Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian singer and actress discovered her roots today on the talk show, “The Real“, which she co-hosts with Jeannie Mai, Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry and Loni Love.
After getting a cheek swab a month ago on the show, Bailon finally got to learn more about her lineage after much anticipation for her DNA results. Bailon was so nervous about learning of her ancestry she had to take a deep breath as she waited for guest, Kenyatta Berry, the host of the “Genealogy Roadshow” on PBS, to tell her more about her background.
My palms are so sweaty right now,” said Bailon as she started to get anxious.
The tests concluded that she was 28% Native American, 57% European, 7% black and 8% Middle Eastern.
Bailon was shocked by her ancestry, which stretched all over Europe and other continents on a map.
I’m white!” said Bailon.
After learning this, she vowed never to tease Mowry, who is half-white, on the show again.
