Yesterday the internet was buzzing about former cover model and radio personality Angie Martinez.
Angie abruptly resigned from longtime employer Hot 97. The 43 year-old Latina started working for the Hip-Hop station when she was only 16 years old answering hot lines. She is considered the queen of Hip Hop radio and one of the most well known VJs in New York. Angie shared this with her fans on Instagram and Twitter.
This morning it was announced that Angie Martinez is now part of the rival station, Power 105.1. Both stations have expressed publicly there dislike for each other (on and off the air). Interesting to see the “Mamma Hen of Hot 97” jump ship.
