In this Video sent to us by the White House, you will find President Obama addressing the Latino community in Spanish…pretty fluently.
Mr. President, your Spanish has certainly improved. Was it “Ingles sin Barrera”? “Rosetta Stone?” or an accelerated white house home study program…in time to help persuade the Latino votes? The last, we know is part of it. But that’s cool; it’s what he is supposed to do go after the vote. Could President Obama done more for the Latino community in the last four years aside from appointing Sonia Sotomayor? Absolutely yes! ¡Claro que sí! But overall, I believe Obama will do more for Latinos then Romney and I also believe he will be better for the country in general.
I give Obama credit for taking the lead and investing the time to learn Spanish, even though it’s most likely for the vote. Bill Clinton said during his term in office that he will go down in history as the last president in the United States that did not speak Spanish, and it seems he was right. One more thing about Obama…he humanizes things situations and his prestigious title of commander in chief, and that will get him any place he wants to go.
