July 24th is National Tequila Day – a day we celebrate one of the most popular, and misunderstood, spirits in the world.
Tequila is not just a cheap rocket fuel that powers frat houses’ parties. It’s a remarkably smooth and delicious spirit with various flavors and distinct tastes for even the most discerning palette.
Interestingly enough, research shows that women consume between 75%-80% of their tequila mixed or in a margarita-like cocktail. And according to Marketing Daily, more and more young, affluent women are enjoying tequila on the rocks, neat, chilled or in a shot glass.
Regardless of whether you are a man or woman, the beauty of an ultra premium brand with an incredibly layered characteristic, like Tequila REVOLUCION, is its smoothness; deep herbal, almost vegetal flavors that can often time takes on whiskey-like qualities. It certainly doesn’t belong in just a margarita glass!
So, this National Tequila Day and the days after, why not enjoy tequila as it should be?
Or for those who simply must have a mixed cocktail, below are some great cocktail recipes that can still bring out the beauty of tequila’s tasting profile:
