With more and more fun events developing; life after becoming a parent doesn’t have to be boring. March 1 and March 2 get the family together at Bryant Park in New York City for the Kid’s Food Festival. Families with children from 6 months to the tweens are welcomed in learning about better food choices along with an engaging environment that empowers children to make decisions for themselves. The James Beard Foundation for Future Foodies Pavilion is offering different hands on cooking classes with featured chefs. Each ticket covers one child and an adult. This weekend will also feature a balanced plate scavenger hunt. Participants are given an activity card and are encouraged to go from kiosk to kiosk and create a balanced plate. If their plates are balanced they receive a food-themed stamp and are rewarded with a goody bag full of featured products and samples. The Kids Food festival starts at 10 AM and tickets are $25.
