There is opportunity in Lucha Underground and Rey Mysterio has seized it. Fresh off his new one-year first-look deal with El Rey Network, Rey will have the freedom to develop, produce, and consult on his storylines as well as others.
Entering season three, Rey, a former three-time World Champion in WWE, has not been acquired for his brand name alone but for his creative mind.
“Rey’s incredible talent extends far beyond the ring,”
explained El Rey President and GM, Daniel Tibbets,
“He has a keen eye for great entertainment.”
Lucha Underground has grown by leaps in bounds in it’s short existance and its deal with Mysterio only confirms this. Rey has announced that he is ready to face anyone which includes Johnny Mundo or old friend, Chavo Guerrero, Jr.
“If you feel like you’re not a believer, I can tell you this,”
Rey challenged,
“You will be one.”
