Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today that it will launch Entretenimiento SiriusXM, a live, Spanish-language entertainment channel featuring the popular shows by beloved characters Don Cheto and La Socia.
Entretenimiento SiriusXM will launch on Thursday, June 28 at 8:00 am ET and will be available in the SiriusXM Latino category online through SiriusXM Internet Radio and through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for smartphones and mobile devices, and by satellite on channel 563 on the new SiriusXM Lynx and SiriusXM Edge radios.
El show de Don Cheto, featuring Latin talk show sensation Don Cheto, the principled and good-hearted character created and played by Juan Carlos Razo, will air Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm ET and Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm ET. Listeners can expect El show de Don Cheto to deliver news, entertainment and interviews with popular celebrities as well as focusing on topics that directly affect listeners’ lives.
In addition, Entretenimiento SiriusXM channel 563 will also feature La Socia, hosted by radio veteran Silvia Pinal. The daily show includes celebrity interviews, regional Mexican music and segments with prank calls and psychic readings giving listeners the opportunity to call in and ask about their future. Silvia Pinal, La Socia, also celebrates ‘Happy Hour’ on Fridays at 3:00 pm ET, an opportunity she takes to invite local DJs into her studios to share their music mixes with her audience. La Socia airs Monday through Friday 2:00 pm to 6:00pm ET and Saturday 1:00pm to 6:00pm.
The SiriusXM Latino channel lineup features ten exclusive commercial-free music channels covering a wide variety of music genres, including Caliente (tropical, channel 150), Rumbón (classic salsa, channel 533), Flow Nación (Latin hip-hop and Reggaeton, channel 506), La Kueva (rock en español, channel 540), Viva (contemporary pop, channel 500), La Mezcla (top hits in English and Spanish, channel 503), Águila (regional Mexican, channel 510), Caricia (classic ballads in English and Spanish, channel 523) and Luna (Latin jazz, channel 530) and more.
