The 83rd Annual Academy Awards may have come and gone but it’s a hot topic on twitter this morning. The #1 trend on Twitter today is the Oscars, and while some of the expected nominees took how the awards (i.e. Natalie Portman winning Actress in a Leading Role for The Black Swan) many of the Tweeters aren’t tweeting about who won, who should have won, or who wasn’t even acknowledge but are focusing all of their attention on the two hosts, Anne Hathaway and James Franco. And according to many of them, the pairing was just…wrong.
Twitter user kirbyjay tweets, “Felt bad for Anne Hathaway. She had to over compensate for dead James Franco. And all 7 of her looked beautiful.”
Wilw tweets, “GUYS! GUYS! I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! James Franco was boring and charmless to average out how enthusiastic and joyful Anne Hathaway was.”
Meanwhile mathewi tweeted, “Anne Hathaway doesn’t look that strong, but somehow she managed to carry James Franco for almost four hours.”
Ouch, that is just some of the tweets going out this morning in regards to the hosting pairs…lack of ability to host. Since the start of the show, Hathaway came out bubbly and appeared extremely ecstatic to be there while Franco just appeared. Apart from the live portions of the show, Franco and Hathaway worked well together during the show’s opening montage which had the pair popping up in the various nominated films including Back to the Future…for some reason. Despite the strange partnership and confusion as to why the pair was selected to host in the first place, tweeters did manage to discuss some of the main importance of the night like who was best and worst dressed…the winners have yet to be announced.
