Bad Bunny kicked off the 65th annual Grammy Awards with a dynamic live performance of “El Apagón” and“ “Después de la Playa” one of his many hits.

But it wasn’t just a performance night for “El Conejo Malo” ( Bad Bunny), he also won the 2023 Grammy Award for Best Música Urbana Album., for “Un Verano Sin Ti”, which made history by becoming the first Spanish-language LP to be nominated for Album of the Year.
But the competition for Best Música Urbana Album. was stiff, Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti”, beat out fellow reggaeton artist Maluma, Daddy Yankee, Farruko and Rauw Alejandro. Bad Bunny has previously won two Grammy Awards and four Latin Grammy Awards.
This year he’s been nominated for Album of the Year, Best Música Urbana Album and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Bad Bunny said in his acceptance speech:
“Gracias! I made this album with love and passion, nothing else,” he said speaking in English and Spanish. “When you do things with love and passion, everything is easier. Life is easier. Thank you to everyone who listens to my music. Gracias a todos los Latinos. Thanks to all the artists who worked on this album, to the producers. I want to dedicate this award to Puerto Rico, the capital of reggaeton. I want to dedicate it to the legends and not only the legends, but also new artists who keep this movement alive and keep refreshing it. To all the talents, let’s keep taking this genre to new levels. I love you all.”

Bad Bunny appeared to dress down for his live performance, opting for a plain white t-shirt and jeans, which made him look like he was going shopping at whole foods or something, his choice of clothing did not make a fashion statement, but his performance made a powerful musical statement and his festive, happiness fueled music got Taylor Swift, Jack Harlow and even 93-year-old Motown founder Berry Gordy up on their feet, dancing to the merengue beat of “Después de la Playa”
In another musical extravaganza, Bad Bunny will headline Coachella this coming April, he will be the first Latino artist ever to do so.
He has been super-hot in the last few years. At the 2022 Latin Grammy’s Bad Bunny was nominated for 10 awards out of which he won five, including Best Urban Music Album for “Un Verano Sin Ti.”.
