His name is Pedro Pablo Martinez, he still a kid, he just hit 21. The Brooklyn native was a former security guard, living pay check to pay check funded by his unemployment. He was receiving $120 a week. But thanks to the lottery he will be receiving $1000 a week, that is a major increase. If Pedro can live to be 80 years old he would bank up $3 million with out having to break a sweat. Martinez says it was a miracle. He said “it was just a regular day, I woke up, took a shower, ran some errands- nothing special.” Before going home, he stopped by the store and brought three tickets. He didn’t start scratching until he was at home. the first games yielded no money, but it was the third one that was the winner. As he scratched the third ticket, he couldn’t believe that he actually uncovered a “Life” symbol. He took a deep breath and kept scratching, he finds another one, then next thing you know he finds the third one. He said he almost fainted. “When I saw the third life, I was like ‘Nah, this can’t be happening. I’m young, not even 21. I almost fainted. My father almost had a heart attack.” He said he wants to take care of his Polish mother and Dominican father as he promised. He opted out to take a annual pay out for $32,000 next week. he said it was his number one priority. He also has a few other goals in mind like getting his father a fishing reel for his upcoming birthday, he wants to attend college to study architecture or graphic design, and also take trips to his parents native countries. And he wants to move out of his parents house, he said “I’ll go to whatever place is the nicest and the cheapest.”
