Well, after three months of rumors circulating that the Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and Miami-based entrepreneur and philanthropist Ernesto Arguello are now officially dating. While during the months of the two being together were not true, the actress confirmed their relationship just started to PEOPLEmagazine.
The Tex-Mexican actress, 38, met Arguello, 34, last year when he was a cast member in the reality dating show Longoria produced called, Ready For Love. On the show, Arguello picked former Miss USA Shandi Finnessey due to their growing romance which ended in 2012.
The show aired this spring and Hollywood was afloat with rumors that the two were together. But rumors are just that, it wasn’t until recently that their friendship started during the production of the show bloomed into a romantic.
“I guess we have the press to thank for pushing us to see something we didn’t see!” Longoria joked.
“Eva and Ernesto are a perfect match,” a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE. “They both speak Spanish, have the same religion and the same cultural background.”
Apart from both having the same cultural background, the pair both have a passion for philanthropy. Recently, Longoria accompanied Arguello to Honduras, his native country, to visit the school he built in his community, and to see the homes he has built for impoverished families. Also, when there Longoria was introduced to his family.
“Their friendship and their similar philanthropic interests laid the foundation for their new romance,” the source close to the couple, adds. “They’re very much in love.”
So here’s to Longoria and Arguello, may their future together bring them much happiness.
