Looking for some family fun this summer? Check out Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA. The amusement park is a mix of dry and wet rides for children of all ages. The staff are always friendly and the best part of the park are the amazing Sesame Street characters that walk around the park and interact with guest throughout the day.
If your child is not into rides no problem, they also have amazing children’s musical shows that are a must see. Pick up a map at the park’s entrance or go online to checkout showtimes and theater locations.
My Autistic teenager has attended this park twice a year (Summer & Winter) for the last 13 years and it never seems to get old to us. The park is very “Autism Friendly” with it’s spacious layout, cleanliness and colorful decor. If your child needs a moment away from the crowd you will easily find a few sections with benches to cool down and get away from the action. They also have a large selection of food options which is perfect for the picky eater in your life. The characters and staff always show the same attention and sensitivity towards kids of all ages and/or disabilities which surely makes our day enjoyable. I strongly recommend taking the drive and enjoying all the fun attraction and activities this fabulous park has to offer. If you been there before, make sure to go back and enjoy the new Cookie Monster Land. We loved the new rides and additional seating areas.
This year Sesame Street join forces with Autism Speaks to develop a new community engagement initiative to help reduce the stigma surrounding children with autism.
