007 may find himself head-over-heels for a Latina love interest.
According to reports, in the 24th installment of James Bond Latina Superstar and Oscar winner Penelope Cruz could the next Bond girl in the film franchise. Following in the footsteps of husband and fellow Latino actor Javier Bardem, Cruz, aged 40, could be the latest love interest to the MI-5 agent 007.
Currently pregnant with her second child with Bardem, Cruz will start work on the newest installment reported to be released sometime in 2014 with an unnamed Bond.
According to sources about the casting, “the producers have tried to get Penelope before, but she has never been available because of other commitments. The discussions have been going on for some time and they are working out the contract details now.”
Just last week, Deadline reported how Sam Mendes, director of Skyfall, is in talks to return to the directing chair for the film’s next installment with hopes of Daniel Craig being slated to return as 007.
The 24th installment of James Bond is currently in pre-production with more details soon to be released.
