Edgar Ramirez is set to star in the upcoming film about Osama Bin Laden. The film, which remains untitled, will follow Team 6 of the Navy SEAL as they search for the leader of the militant Islamic group, Al-Qaeda.
Venezuelan-born Ramirez is best known for his leading role in the mini-series “Carlos” and his participation in “The Bourne Ultimatum” as Paz, a Blackbriar assassin. The star has a number of high-budget political action films under his belt, including productions like “Vantage Point” and “Ché”. He will also be appearing in the upcoming sequel to “Clash of the Titans” as Ares.
The film will also feature actors Chris Pratt and Jessica Chastain. Development originally began in 2010. Bin Laden’s death last spring, however, drove the directors to rework the scripts in light of the events. The film is now set for release on December 19, 2012.
