Eva Longoria’s list as both a Producer and a Political Enthusiast is continuing to grow as the Latina star will soon be producing a political drama based on the lives of well-known Latino politicians.
Produced through her UnbeliEVAble Entertainment production company, along with Conde Nast Entertainment, Longoria will be producing an untitled political drama loosely based on the lives of Democratic twin politicians former-San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, who is now the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and United States Congressman Joaquin Castro which will soon air on ABC network.
According to sources, the show was inspired by a 2013 Vogue article entitled Pair of Aces which was a profile piece on the Castro twins rise in the political world. The show is being described as to centering around a political family who find themselves taking up different political agendas.
Working along with Revenge Producer Nikki Toscano, the show will be a reunion for Longoria and Toscano since the pair last worked together on the hit ABC series Desperate Housewives which launched Longoria’s career.
There are no details when the show will go into production, but the development has been ongoing since last year when Longoria tried to pitch the show to another network, with a different writer, that went nowhere.
The untitled drama will join Devious Maids as the second show produced by Longoria’s UnbeliEVAble Entertainment company.
However, until this political drama comes out you can catch Longoria on the NBC comedy Telenovela, which is also produced by her company, that’s scheduled to air on December 7.
