Christina Aguilera has revealed in a recent interview that she is currently prepare to release a new English & Spanish Album.
The upcoming album—or albums—will be the I’m a Genie in a Bottle and Beautiful singer’s latest album since her 2012’s Lotus; meanwhile the planned Spanish album will be her second from her 2000 released Spanish album Mi Refleio.
“I’m excited for my fans to finally be getting something from me,” said the Grammy Award-winner, “It’s been a while.”
According to the 34-year-old singer, some of the inspiration for her upcoming album comes from her recent yoga regimen.
The singer said that she has established a deep love for yoga and is “not looking at it as an exercise, but just feeling more one with the Earth and everyone being connected, it’ll definitely have a reflection on the new record.”
Aguilera notes how the new album will focus more on style and will show a more of a mature than her past albums.
“Maybe when I was younger and very green to the business and just wanting to emulate my idols, I would try probably harder to cross T’s and dot I’s and hit certain notes,” Aguilera explained, and added that the “music is such an emotion to me and it’s so felt from the heart, that at this point in my life it’s really not about the image of a great singer, but the emotion of a great singer.”
While discussing her upcoming album, the singer said that her fans will notice a big difference “between this record and others in the past.”
So when can you expect the release the album?
Well, Aguilera said that the record should be completed just as she is scheduled to return to NBC’s The Voice for its 10th in February 2016.
